Lynda has loved to draw and paint since childhood. In High School, she valued the art course including wood carving and sculpture. But life after school took over and it wasn’t until she could stop working and her children had grown that Lynda renewed her love of art.
In 1998 Lynda started watercolour lessons with Gillian Long, a well-known botanic artist. She discovered a love of painting flowers and started to exhibit and sell her works. Lynda also painted landscapes, scenes from places to which she travelled and particularly enjoyed painting portraits of her grandchildren.
In 2014 Lynda studied oils and composition with Di Lamont. She loved the richness of oil colours and building up a painting using impasto techniques and textures so different from watercolours.
Also in 2014 Lynda joined the Marion Art Group and has enjoyed the inspiration of the group and the chance to exhibit regularly.
