Jim is an ex secondary school teacher who, in his retirement, creates his own art. He particularly joined MAG to share experiences and exhibit with others.
Preferring to work in acrylics, Jim enjoys the process of layering tone, colour and texture to attempt to achieve some level of realism. He also likes working in water-colour, pen, brush and ink, charcoal and mixed media and is not averse to experimenting with more contemporary styles.
Always enjoying a new challenge, Jim relishes working to a ‘brief’ (set by himself or a client) and a deadline. Committing himself to an exhibition, motivates him to create and produce!
Jim thinks that being part of a group of like-minded people who create together, support each other, form friendships and exhibit together is absolutely brilliant.
